Removing Non-Citizens From The Voter Rolls
Secretaries of State can identify and remove non-U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants from voter rolls using guidelines outlined by the RNC Counsel’s Office, including cross-referencing voter registration data with federal and state resources, like immigration and DMV records and conducting periodic audits.
Resources
FVF, Inc. investigated election official compliance across Connecticut—and the findings are alarming. Only 29 towns fully complied with FOIA requests, while the Secretary of the State’s Office failed to provide complete and accurate data.
Investigation of Connecticut’s Registrars
If you are registered to vote and would like to cancel or withdraw your voter registration, please follow your state and/or local election office’s guidelines. States and local jurisdictions have different options for voters who wish to cancel their voter registration.

Please note: The July 2024 dates listed reflect precautionary deadlines based on counties that may follow a 90-day rule prior to early voting. These are not definitive across all counties.
Important Considerations: In states requiring affidavits, some counties may ask for notarized affidavits, while others may not. This variation is yet another example of the inconsistencies in the voter roll challenge process. Best Practice: Always contact your local Elections Administrator (EA) to clarify your county’s specific process.
